Every new concept must move through a defined product development process before it can be manufactured. At MADE, we organize this process into clear, manageable stages, which are outlined on our How it Works page.
Each estimate you receive from us covers one stage of development, which we refer to as a “step.” Once you accept an estimate and complete onboarding, that step becomes an active project. The scope of each project is specific to your product and goals, and by the end of the project, you will have everything needed to move forward to the next step.
Because each step builds on the one before it, steps cannot be completed out of order. However, if you have already completed earlier steps with another agency, we can begin where they left off. Likewise, if you choose to transition to another provider later, they can confidently build from the work we deliver. This continuity is a key reason our process is so effective.
The Estimate and Onboarding Process
When you accept an estimate, you will receive a services agreement by email within a few minutes. Once the agreement is signed, a second email will be sent with your deposit invoice. The deposit is 50% of the project total or $500, whichever is greater. Projects under $500 require payment in full. After the deposit is received, we schedule your Intake Session.
The Intake Session
The Intake Session is a 30-minute video call, typically scheduled within one week of onboarding. During this session, we confirm project scope, review goals, assign any required tasks, and address any final questions before work begins.
Project Timeline
Most projects begin within one week of the intake session and are completed within one week after that. In short, each step typically takes about two weeks from intake to completion, regardless of the stage.
Review Session and Final Payment
When your project is complete, you will receive a completion notification along with your final invoice. We will also schedule a 30-minute video review session within the following week. During this call, we walk through the completed work and answer any questions. After the review, you will receive an estimate for the next step, and the process repeats.
