Pattern Development

Sewn Prototype

From mock prototypes to final samples, we bring your pattern to life using quality materials, precise construction methods, and expert garment engineering. Each sample is sewn with production intent, allowing you to evaluate fit, function, and finish before moving forward. Through every stage, you’ll receive a detailed review, minor pattern refinements, and professional feedback — helping you catch issues early, improve efficiency, and move into production with confidence.

Product Manufacture

Pattern Grading

Once your base-size prototype is approved for fit, function, and style, we’ll grade your pattern into a complete size range tailored to your target market. Using industry-standard CAD tools and Alvanon size data, each size is adjusted with precision to preserve proportion, balance, and ease across the range. Our grading process ensures your design maintains the same look, comfort, and performance in every size — ready for sampling or production with confidence.

Small Batch Manufacture

Our small-run sewing options give you the flexibility to produce exactly what you need, when you need it. Whether you’re fulfilling direct orders, preparing samples for buyers, or testing fabrics and colors before large-scale production, we provide professional sewing support without high minimums or upfront commitments. Each piece is sewn to production standards by our experienced team, ensuring consistent quality and accuracy at every stage.

Tech Packs

Once the development of your design is complete and you have a sample and graded pattern, we combine all of the construction data into a complete Tech Pack - the instruction manual a manufacturer requires for production. We start by organizing every detail of your style: points of measure, bill of materials, sequence of construction, pattern parts list, and annotations for stitch types, fabrications, colorways and more. Next, we compile those specifications into an organized, easy-to-read format that includes flat sketches, callouts, and written instructions. The final tech pack serves as your communication tool with factories, ensuring your product is built exactly as intended, with fewer errors, faster turnaround, and consistent quality from sample to production.

Large Scale Manufacture Services

When you’re ready to move from development and small-batch testing into full production, we make the transition seamless. Our Manufacture Services connect you with Satsuma Designs, our trusted local production partner who upholds the same standards of precision, quality, and transparent communication that define MADE.

If you already have a factory in mind, our Manufacture Transfer service ensures a smooth handoff — we prepare and deliver all necessary tech packs, digital patterns, and samples, then coordinate directly with your chosen manufacturer through the sampling process. For ongoing or higher-volume runs, our Manufacture Management service keeps us involved through the entire production cycle.

Fit Review

During this collaborative meeting, we will help you evaluate your sample on various models to assess proportion, balance, and mobility. We’ll help you understand when to refine your design to improve overall comfort and function versus keeping the fit more standardized. Whether you’re preparing for a second prototype or finalizing a size run, this step helps you make informed adjustments before committing to bulk manufacturing - saving time, cost, and frustration later in the process..
