The Ultimate Tool for Easy Thread Management

The patent-pending design of Zcissors features a rounded edge and cutting notch on the backside of each blade. The rounded edge prevents threads from breaking as you sweep, while the cutting notch is deep enough to create a cutting surface with the adjacent blade when the scissors are closed. Zcissors ensures a professional finish on top and securely locked stitches on the bottom, eliminating the need for hand tying and preventing unexpected unraveling.

Zcissors is a new specialty scissor that combines multiple features into one tool, making cover stitch finishing easier. No more using random tools to sweep threads and interrupting your project to cut them. Now you can use Zcissors.

Text that reads '3 QUICK STEPS' in bold red letters.

With just three quick steps, you can sweep the upper threads from under the presser foot, snag and cut them in the notch, and snip the bottom threads to remove your project. All with one hand and one tool.

How the idea started…..

Creator Heather Zager is also the Founder of MADE Apparel Services, a woman owned business helping makers, inventors and aspiring designers develop sewn product ideas for manufacture. She first came up with the idea for Zcissors when an injury to her left thumb made pinching an almost impossible task when using the cover stitch machine for her client projects. After trying several different tools and techniques to hold the threads for cutting, she had a simple thought — create an all in one tool that would sweep, snag and snip with just one hand. The idea for Zcissors was born. After a year of testing and tooling (believe it or not, it’s harder than it looks), she had a working prototype and the rest is history!
