Meet the Team

Heather Zager, Founder

Owner/Operator Heather Zager found her calling when she signed up for a beginning patternmaking course and realized she had a passion for technical design. She subsequently enrolled in the Apparel Design and Development program at Seattle Central College and graduated two years later with her Associate of Applied Science Degree.

Since graduation, Heather has worked with several high-profile and creative businesses, including assisting Meta in developing and designing augmented and virtual reality wearable tech gear. She’s also worked with Santa’s Tailor, Feathered Friends, Wolfpack Gear, and Classic Accessories, helping them achieve their goals in design, development, patternmaking, sewn construction and manufacture.

In 2020, MADE Apparel Services was born with the idea of helping makers, inventors, and designers bring their own sewn product ideas to manufacture. She has guided several designers into their first collection launch.  Heather continues to grow her knowledge and share her experiences with others to bring their visions to reality.

Fitz, Head of Quality Catrol

MADE has been actively involved with the Regional Animal Services of King County (RASKC) since 2018, volunteering to walk dogs, training new volunteers, fostering pets with special circumstances, and currently helping as a Vet Clinic Assistant.

Fitz came to us in 2022 as a single kitten, only 5 weeks old, with no family. He was too young and small to be released for adoption, so he became our foster. Shortly after, we noticed how well he got along with the rest of the staff—hence the name ‘Fitz’—so we adopted him. This made us what is lovingly known as a ‘foster failure,’ but we couldn’t be more excited about his success!

As he got older, we noticed he loved to check our work and surprise us with regular unannounced audits, so we took the next step and hired him! Today, he works hard to ensure all of our work is purr-fect before it gets to you, our customer. If you see a little fur in your completed project, you can rest assured it’s been quality-catrolled personally by Fitz.
